Near Gavray, between Granville, Coutances and Villedieu-les-Poeles & Avranches, La Belle Etoile is set in an acre of gardens, surrounded by exquisite rolling views providing brilliant sunsets, footpaths (chemins rurals) ideal for walking and cycling, and only 20 minutes to the beach.

All the major Normandy tourist sites including the D-Day beaches and Le Mont St Michel are accessible for day trips.

We have very interesting wildlife including deer, wild boar (very shy we don't often see them), hares, red squirrels, buzzards ....... and even fire salamanders.

 La Belle Etoile, a 300 year old beautiful stone-built Normandy farmhouse is built in granite. It has been renovated to a high standard providing comfort to our guests.

The property country location makes it safe for children, but it is only 3km (2miles) from Gavray. The area has many interests available including horse riding, fishing, swimming, sailing, surf-boarding, canoeing and tennis.

The house comprises a farmhouse kitchen, a very large living room (the salon), a games room, three double bedrooms, a shower room and WC, a bathroom and WC.

The house is comfortable and well equipped with a gas hob and oven, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, iron and ironing board, washing machine and tumble dryer et cetera.

There is colour television in the salon and in the kitchen - with BBC1, BBC2, ITV and Channel 4, DVD and video recorder.

The internet is available in the kitchen, salon and the yellow room, all via network cable.
The house has central heating, a wonderful open fire in the kitchen and a wood burner in the salon.

There is a games room with a pool table, a full size “baby football” table, and electronic piano, and some general games.

Gavray is 3 kilometres away and has 3 bakers, a supermarket, a chemist, a dentist, a medical centre with 3 doctors (one speaks very good English), a butcher, a charcuterie (who also does take away meals), 2 restaurants, several bars and a number of other interesting shops. It also has a variety of markets.

The house is almost equi-distanced situated between the historic towns of Avranches, Granville, Coutances and Villedieu-les-Poeles and within 40 minutes of Le Mont St. Michel and Bayeux. Both Brittany and the Normandy landing beaches are an easy “day trip” from the house, as are the beautiful sandy western coastal beaches where you can walk for miles.
